  15. <p>     DIED. JERSEY JOE WALCOTT, 80, heavyweight boxing champ; in Camden,
  16. New Jersey. Born with the not very pugilistic-sounding name
  17. of Arnold Raymond Cream, Walcott--his ring name--owned the
  18. rare distinction of having knocked down Joe Louis three times
  19. over the course of two fights, both of which Walcott went on
  20. to lose. He finally won the heavyweight championship in 1951
  21. at the age of 37--the oldest man ever to attain the title.
  22. A year later, he lost his belt to Rocky Marciano.
